Honoring the Women of America: A Tribute to Strength and Resilience...

Throughout history, women have played a vital role in shaping the fabric of American society. From the early pioneers who braved the unknown, to the trailblazers who fought for equality, women have demonstrated incredible strength and resilience in the face of adversity.

Today, we take a moment to honor and celebrate the remarkable women of America. If you rather watch then read. Above is a fashion film honoring the women of yesterday and today.

I directed and produced this film with the intention of expressing gratitude for 30 years of living and my transition from corporate America to the entertainment industry. Little did I know it would morph into a film showing homage to the women of America.

#ForeverGrateful

Trailblazers of the Past

When we think of the women who have left an indelible mark on American history, such as: the women who built the railroad tracks as their men went to Civil War, the jazz singers who revolutionized the music industry during World War II, the activists fighting for women's rights,

The Black Panthers striving to provide food, shelter, and protection for their communities, to the powerful women of today. We have so many options because we stand on the shoulders of giants! These women defied societal norms and paved the way for future generations.

Modern Icons of Strength

While we honor the trailblazers of the past, it is equally important to recognize the women who continue to make a difference in our society today. These modern icons of strength are breaking down barriers and challenging the status quo:

Missy Elliot, our amazing multi-talented superstar just made history! She's the first female rapper in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame and paving the way for more in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! Isn't that incredible? I remember like it was yesterday choreographing to her music in high school.

Dr. Hadiyah-Nicole Green! Dr. Green just made history by curing cancer using laser-activated nanoparticles! She received a $1.1 million grant to expand her groundbreaking research. With her revolutionary technology, patients can say goodbye to chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Dr. Green is changing the game in cancer treatment!

Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players of all time, has not only dominated the sport but has also been a vocal advocate for gender equality and racial justice. Her determination and perseverance in the face of adversity have inspired generations of athletes.

Everyday Heroes

While we celebrate the achievements of famous women, it is essential to remember that strength and resilience can be found in everyday heroes as well. The women who juggle multiple roles as mothers, daughters, sisters, and professionals demonstrate incredible strength in their ability to navigate the complexities of life.

Teachers, nurses, caregivers, and countless other women work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others. Their selflessness and dedication often go unnoticed, but their impact is immeasurable.

It is through the collective strength and resilience of these everyday heroes that our society continues to progress and thrive.

Unity Through Community

As we honor the women of America, it is crucial to recognize that the fight for equality is far from over. Women continue to face challenges and barriers in various aspects of life, including the workplace, politics, and personal safety.

We must all play a role in creating a more equitable society. By supporting and uplifting the voices of women, advocating for equal opportunities, and challenging gender stereotypes, we can contribute to a more inclusive future.

Let us celebrate the strength and resilience of the women of America, past and present, and commit ourselves to the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice for all.

In Conclusion

I want to personally express my heart-felt appreciation to my ancestors for creating opportunity for me to BE. BE who I want to BE and how I want to BE it. Because of the sacrifice, prayers, and love of these women I can travel the world and experience life they could only dream of.

As both of our matriarchs transitioned a couple years ago. I will never forget what they taught me about life. My dad's mom encouraged me to travel as much as I could and my mother's mom instilled the importance of etiquette and looking good whenever your in public.

My mother Pamela Jones continues to show me education in oneself never expires. Education opens doors to options and options to providing for oneself. There is nothing wrong with being able to take care of yourself. If someone comes along...It is a bonus.
